Apple’s latest MacBook Pro models incorporate a touchscreen display for the first time and also see the return of the company’s glowing logo.
The updated professional laptops feature Apple’s new “PROLED XDR” display technology, which uses Tandem OLED architecture by stacking two OLED panels together to boost light output.
The screen delivers up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness, 1,000 nits of sustained brightness, variable refresh rates between 10Hz and 120Hz and wide P3 and Adobe RGB color gamut coverage.
While the inclusion of touchscreen allows users to interact directly with content, such as dragging and dropping files, scrolling, and pinching to zoom, Apple has maintained a traditional laptop form factor without a 360-degree hinge or Apple Pencil support.
The redesign also replaces the traditional camera notch with the iPhone-style Dynamic Island to surface live activities and notifications. Thanks to the thinner OLED panel structure, the new laptops are roughly 200g to 300g lighter than previous generations.
Additionally, the redesign brings back the glowing Apple logo on the back of the lid and incorporates updated speakers featuring new woofers with deeper bass.
Powered by Apple’s M5 Pro and M5 Max silicon chips, the new MacBook Pro models are available for pre-order now and will officially go on sale on Friday, November 6, 2026.
Pricing for the lineup starts at:
