The gap between the United States and China could shrink in the coming years if the broader trend of China’s rapid expansion in the index — particularly in the health sciences — continues.

For example, just over 10% of the University of Cincinnati in Ohio’s overall output in Nature Index journals is related to regenerative medicine.
