Apple is rolling out a major update to Apple Creator Studio, bringing new AI-powered tools and creative features to Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro. The update arrives in November and will be available at no additional cost to existing subscribers, making everything from video editing to music production a little easier.
One of the biggest upgrades comes to Final Cut Pro for Mac, which now integrates MotionVFX directly into the app.
This gives editors access to a wider selection of titles, transitions and colour grading tools, while Apple’s Content Hub makes it possible to add stock footage without leaving a project. There’s also tighter integration with Pixelmator Pro, allowing users to edit images and have those changes automatically reflected in their Final Cut Pro timeline.
Apple is also adding image generation from text prompts and expanding automatic captions to 23 additional languages, giving video creators more flexibility without having to rely on separate tools.
Meanwhile, Pixelmator Pro is getting a new AI-powered Generate Fill feature that lets users edit specific parts of an image using simple text descriptions. Users can select an area, describe what they want to change, and the tool will generate a replacement while attempting to match the original lighting, perspective and textures. The results can also be placed on separate layers for further adjustments.
Logic Pro for Mac is receiving a similarly substantial update, including a redesigned Liquid Glass interface and a new intelligent assistant in beta. The assistant can help users start creating songs or prepare vocal recordings through text instructions, while an upgraded Stem Splitter can now isolate drums from existing tracks.
Finding sounds should also be easier thanks to a redesigned Browser that brings loops, instruments and Splice content together, complete with automatic tagging for easier searching. Apple is also introducing a new Producer Pack from Grammy-winning producer Sergio George.
The improvements extend beyond Apple’s professional creative apps, too. Keynote, Pages and Numbers are gaining AI assistants designed to help users create presentations, refine written content and choose suitable charts for their data.
The update will arrive through the App Store in November, with existing Apple Creator Studio subscribers receiving the new features for free.
