A powerful and well-priced vacuum cleaner, the Henry Quick Corded does everything the cordless version does, only it's cheaper and runs for as long as you want. Dust gets sucked into the clever 1L pods, which offer dust-free emptying, while an optional scent pod fills your home with a clean and fresh smell. Dust collection is excellent, although the brush bar can get clogged with long hair. For simple, light plug-in cleaning, this is a great option.
- Powerful suction
- Excellent dust pickup
- Dust-free pod emptying
- Brush bar tangles with long hair
- No wall mount

-
Disposable pods 1L pods made from recycled materials empty without any dust.
-
10m cable A long power cable lets you clean most of a floor from one socket.
-
Brush bar off Turn off the motorised brush bar for better hard-floor cleaning.
Like the idea of a cordless, but want to spend less without giving up power? The Henry Quick Corded could be the ideal compromise. It’s light, simple to use and, because there’s no battery and you plug it in, it’s also much cheaper than the cordless version.
Its neat pods make it simple to empty, and the ability to turn off the brush bar is ideal for hard floors. An anti-tangle design would be better, but at this price, this is a great value plug-in vacuum cleaner.
Although the vacuum launched back in November 2025, my review was delayed as the product was originally recalled due to a fault. It is now back on sale.
Design and features
- Optional scent pods
- Replaceable filters
- Two power modes
There are two reasons people generally like plug-in vacuum cleaners: they last as long as you need to use them, and they’re comparatively cheap compared to battery-powered models. The flip side is that plug-in vacuum cleaners tend to be big and bulky, but the Henry Quick Corded is a good compromise.
Effectively a plug-in version of the Henry Quick, this cleaner is styled like a cordless model, only it’s about half the price and has a plug on it.

As you might expect from a Henry vacuum, this one has the familiar face stuck on it. Does adding a bit of character to a vacuum cleaner make a difference? It sure does. There’s something endearing and personal about this brand, and I won’t hear a word against Henry as a concept.

This vacuum cleaner is about the same size as most stick cleaners. At 4.2kg, it’s a little heavier than the battery-powered model, although still pretty light for a corded cleaner. I certainly had no trouble picking it up for cleaning around my ceilings.

With no battery, there’s a 10m power cable instead, which wraps around the cable tidies at the back. That’s a decent amount of cable. In a regular house, you should be able to clean most of a floor with a single, centrally located power socket.

Power controls are the same for this cleaner as on the cordless model: an on/off button, a button to cycle between power modes (standard and boost), and a button that turns off the motorised floor head.

The latter is very useful on hard floors, where a brush bar can flick dust around. Turning this off and relying on suction only can give a better clean.
My one complaint about the floor head is that the brush bar is not an anti-tangle model, so it can and will get wrapped with hair.

There’s a vent in the floor head, which can be opened up if you find the vacuum cleaner too hard to push on carpet.

Otherwise, in the box, you get a crevice tool and a 2-in-1 brush. This model doesn’t have the pet tool, which only ships with the Henry Quick Pet cordless machine.

It also lacks a wall mount, which is a shame. For storage, you either have to lean the vacuum up in a cupboard or take the wand off and lay the body down. A wall mount would still be useful even if this isn’t a battery-powered ‘grab-and-go’ model.
As with the other Quick models, this one takes the 1L disposable pods, with six provided in the box. Made from recycled materials, these pods empty quickly and do so without dust going everywhere.

Bagged vacuum cleaners can be useful for those with dust allergies, or for dealing with finer mess, such as after DIY, that can block other vacuum cleaners.
This vacuum cleaner also takes the optional scent pods, which give a fresh smell as you vacuum. It doesn’t make your house cleaner, but it does make your house feel cleaner.

With the Henry Quick, the scent pod goes into a holder at the end of the vacuum; with this model, the pod should be dropped into a disposable pod.
There’s also another difference: the Henry Quick Corded has a secondary filter at the end, underneath the end cap. This filter is not washable and should be replaced yearly.

- Powerful suction
- Good clean-up
- Needs brush bar turning off for large particles
I started by measuring the Henry Quick’s raw suction power at the handle, measuring suction in air watts (AW). Its basic power mode came in at 36AW, a boost on the 23AW that I recorded on the cordless version. Boost mode was similar to the cordless Henry Quick, at 198AW.

This translates into decent performance for using the handheld tools. With my rice test, I found that the cleaner could collect rice from 2cm away, so cleaning up dust in a car or drawer should be easy.
For my real-world dust tests I started with 20g of flour added to the test carpet. After running the Henry Quick Corded through backwards and forwards, the dust collection was impressive with mostly clear lines through the middle, although there are a few bits where dust collection didn’t extend to the full width of the floor head.
At the end of the clean my carpet looked clean and 99.65% of dust had been collected.

Next, I moved onto the edge test, adding 10g of flour up against the skirting board. Here, 99.2% of dust was collected, which is impressive.
I then added 20g of rice to the hard floor. Leaving the brush bar on, the results were a little disappointing, with rice dropping out onto the ground.
However, turning the brush bar off helped, and 100% of rice was collected.
Hair collection was slightly disappointing, too. Adding strands of human hair to the carpet, the Henry Quick Corded removed everything, but ended up with the hair wrapped around it.
Things were better with my pet hair test. Adding cat hair to the carpet, the Henry Quick Corded removed it all in just a single pass.
Should you buy it?
You want a light corded cleaner
A powerful upright cleaner, the Henry Quick Corded deals with tough messes well, and its clever pods mean it’s easy to empty.
You want better hair collection
If you’ve got people with long hair in your house, a cleaner with an anti-tangle brush roll may be better.
A simple, personality-filled corded vacuum cleaner, the Henry Quick Corded is light and powerful, and empties with no mess. There are some ongoing costs to consider, including disposable pods, scent pods and the filter, but for clean and efficient cleaning, this vacuum cleaner is a powerful choice. It’s not ideal for hair collection, but for all other jobs, it’s a neat choice. For other corded cleaners, read my guide to the best vacuum cleaners.

Yes. It uses 1L disposable pods made from recycled materials, which empty without dust going everywhere. Six pods come in the box.
The cable is 10m long, which should let you clean most of a floor from a single, centrally located power socket.
Yes. There’s a dedicated button that turns off the motorised floor head, which helps on hard floors and with larger debris such as rice.
