Lovable has opened its first London office, giving the Swedish AI app builder a second home for its engineering, product and design teams. Around 70 people are already working there, and the company plans to increase that number to 100 by the end of the year.
The company announced the opening on Thursday. Its London team spans nearly every part of the business, from AI research, security and infrastructure to sales, marketing and finance.
The office will also house the design team led by Nad Chishtie, along with forward-deployed engineers who work directly with business customers. Staff from Radish AI, the startup Lovable acquired to strengthen its work on AI agents and infrastructure, are based there too.
For Lovable, the move puts it closer to a growing pool of users and potential hires. The UK is its third-largest market by paying users, and one of the countries with the most founders building with its platform, the company said.
London’s talent pool was one reason for choosing the city, the company said. Its existing community of users was another. Having teams on the ground means Lovable can work more closely with the people building products on its platform.
The opening follows a broader push by AI companies into the UK. During London Tech Week in June, fast-growing firms including Cursor and Legora announced plans to expand their presence in the country.
Lovable’s growth has been driven by people using the platform to build everything from websites to internal business tools. Users have created more than 70 million projects, with over 1.2 million new projects added each week. Websites built with Lovable receive more than 900 million visits a month, according to the company.
British businesses are among those putting it to work. At meal-replacement brand Huel, around 300 employees have built more than 200 internal tools using the platform. Lovable says this has helped the company cut more than £85,000 a year in software spending.
The expansion comes two months after Lovable raised $400m in August at a $13.3bn valuation. The funding round was co-led by Menlo Ventures and the EU-backed Scaleup Europe Fund. At the time, Lovable said it planned to increase its workforce by 50% to around 450 people this year.
