Monk hosts Net 30, an applied AI summit on the future of finance

On October 21, 150 CFOs, operators, founders and researchers will gather at The Times Center in New York. They will discuss how AI is reshaping cash, capital and the finance function.

In a Gartner survey of 183 CFOs, 84% of finance organizations had deployed AI or planned to. Yet only 7% reported a high impact. In Monk’s view, most of that investment has returned productivity and time, rather than revenue, lower costs, or cash on hand.

Net 30 brings together finance leaders who are seeking hard value from AI. It is a curated evening for the people responsible for how capital moves through their companies. It focuses on what works in practice and what does not.

“The teams leading today are taking action,” said George Kurdin, CEO of Monk. “They are not deploying agents simply to save time. They are using agents to cut costs, increase cash flow, or drive revenue. AI in finance should be judged by financial outcomes. Operational efficiency is no longer the standard.”

The agenda

Net 30 takes its name from the most common payment term in business. For most companies, those 30 days are where cash is won or lost, and where AI is driving measurable outcomes. The evening has four themes:

  • Hard ROI from AI. Finance leaders are moving past insights and dashboards to deployments that show up on the P&L and in cash on hand.
  • Cash flow as the new growth metric. In a recent Citi Institute report, 72% of global corporates ranked releasing trapped liquidity as their top priority for the next 12 months.
  • The evolving role of strategic finance. As AI takes on model building and reconciliation, finance leaders are being asked to shape pricing, product and strategy.
  • Responsible AI deployment. Finance leaders are weighing where agents create lasting advantage, where they fall short, and how to govern them without slowing the business down.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Itay Goldstein, The Wharton School
  • Damian Lewandowski, McKinsey & Company

Dominic-Madori Davis of TechCrunch will moderate a panel. More to be announced.

The program covers running finance at scale with a lean team and what separates agentic pilots that reach production from those that stall. It also covers how law firms are rethinking their business models, and what happens when AI agents operate in markets without guardrails. The evening closes with a discussion on designing the finance organization of 2030. It includes a question many finance leaders are weighing: if agents can perform much of this work by the end of the decade, where does human judgment matter most?
