Motorola Signature 27 has some of the best Gemini AI Pixel features

Motorola’s new Signature 27 is getting a selection of Google’s Gemini Intelligence features previously associated with Pixel phones, including the ability to create custom widgets using AI and turn rambling voice recordings into cleaner text.

The flagship smartphone will support four Gemini-powered tools at launch: Create My Widget, Gboard Rambler, Gboard Sign-to-Text and Gemini task automation.

It’s a significant expansion of Google’s AI features beyond its own smartphones, giving Motorola users access to tools that have largely been reserved for Pixel devices, with some already appearing on select Samsung Galaxy phones.

Perhaps the most interesting addition is Create My Widget, which lets users describe what they want a home screen widget to do and have Gemini build it for them. Rather than relying on the usual selection of pre-made widgets, users could create something tailored to their needs simply by explaining the functionality they’re after.

Google first announced the feature earlier this year, but it has yet to become publicly available even on Pixel phones. Motorola has confirmed it will be ready when the Signature 27 launches on 19 November, meaning the company could end up bringing one of Google’s more interesting AI tools to market before Google itself.

Gboard is getting some attention too, with Rambler designed to tidy up lengthy voice dictation by removing filler words and adding formatting where needed. It’s a useful addition for anyone who prefers speaking to typing but doesn’t want to spend time correcting every sentence afterwards. Meanwhile, Sign-to-Text uses video to translate American Sign Language into written English, offering another way to communicate without relying on conventional typing.

The fourth feature is Gemini task automation, which allows the assistant to handle certain activities across supported apps in the background. That could mean asking Gemini to arrange a ride through Uber or place a food order through DoorDash, rather than working through each app manually. The feature isn’t entirely exclusive to Motorola, having already reached Pixel and selected Samsung Galaxy devices, although support still depends on the app and task involved.

The move is particularly interesting because Pixel’s exclusive software features have traditionally been one of Google’s biggest selling points. Bringing more of them to Motorola gives buyers another reason to consider a different Android flagship without necessarily missing out on Google’s latest AI developments.

The Motorola Signature 27 is available to pre-order in the US for $1,599, ahead of its 19 November launch.
