Motorola Signature 27 launches next week with serious flagship hardware

Motorola has confirmed that its new Signature 27 smartphone will launch internationally on 5 November, bringing with it a 165Hz AMOLED display, a massive 7,000mAh battery and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset.

The company first announced the premium handset on 22 September but stopped short of revealing when it would be available. Its US and Indian websites later listed the device as coming in November, with Motorola now confirming the exact date. While the announcement points to a wider international release, availability in individual markets, including Europe, has yet to be detailed.

The Signature 27 looks set to compete at the higher end of the smartphone market, with its 165Hz AMOLED display offering a faster refresh rate than the 120Hz panels commonly found on flagship devices.

Underneath, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset should deliver plenty of processing power, while the sizeable 7,000mAh battery could be another major selling point for users who prioritise battery life.

Motorola also appears to be putting considerable emphasis on photography. The Signature 27 features a 50MP main camera with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor, while reports suggest it will be joined by a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 1/2.76-inch sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera offering 5x optical zoom.

That would give the phone a particularly versatile camera setup, although the full specifications have yet to be confirmed.

Pricing remains unofficial, but previous leaks suggest the Signature 27 could cost around €1,595 (approximately $1,775) for a configuration with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. If accurate, that would place it firmly in premium flagship territory rather than alongside Motorola’s more affordable Edge models.

With the 5 November launch now confirmed, there isn’t much longer to wait for the remaining details. The biggest questions are which international markets will receive the Signature 27 and whether its final price will match the early leaks.
