Read on to see the key differences between the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max and the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, and determine whether you think either stand a chance at making it into our best Android phones or best smartphones round-up.
Price and Availability
At the time of writing, the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is available for pre-order and will launch from November 11th. With a pretty hefty £1,499 price tag, it’s one of the more expensive handsets on the market, although it’s worth noting this is for the 512GB model.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra starts at a slightly cheaper £1359/$1399.99 for its 256GB handset. If you want to upgrade to the 512GB model, then you’ll have to spend an eye-watering £1529/$1599.
Although both run on Android, the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max and Galaxy S26 Ultra are powered by different processors. Powering the Find X10 Pro Max is Dimensity 9600 Pro which is hailed by MediaTek as the “supreme smartphone chip for the agentic era”. Dimensity 9600 Pro promises a faster and more responsive performance for the likes of multitasking, gaming and powering on-device AI.

In comparison, the Galaxy S26 Ultra runs on Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, a custom version of Qualcomm’s 2026 flagship processor. Although this has since been succeeded by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series, the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s chip remains a brilliant performer.
During our time with the S26 Ultra, we found the phone felt snappy and responsive, with apps opening instantly and games playing reliably too.

All three of the Find X10 Pro Max’s cameras are 200MP
There are quite a few differences between the Find X10 Pro Max and Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera set-ups. The Find X10 Pro Max is fitted with three rear lenses, which include a main, ultrawide and telephoto – all of which are 200MP. Co-developed by Oppo and Hasselblad, the line-up promises to result in true-to-life skin tones, 17-stop high dynamic range cine-grade video and up to 6x lossless zoom too.

Instead, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is fitted with four rear cameras, including a 200MP main, 50MP ultrawide, 50MP periscope and 10MP telephoto. Most of us will find it difficult to fault the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s line-up, with its main lens and zoom ability both undoubtedly the headline features. However, the cameras are starting to lag behind the competitors and, unfortunately, it doesn’t represent the best in the market. Instead, the Find X9 Ultra currently holds the title of the best camera phone, which means the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max has a lot to live up to.
Find X10 Pro Max has a larger battery
Samsung has never been a brand to offer the biggest batteries, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra is no different, with a capacity of just 5,000mAh. Even so, we still found the phone was able to see us through a day’s worth of use before conking out.

However, considering the Find X10 Pro Max is fitted with a mighty 7150mAh cell, the Galaxy S26 Ultra undoubtedly trails behind. With such a huge battery, the Find X10 Pro Max should easily see even power users through a full day, or even two, before needing a recharge.
Find X10 Pro Max supports many Oppo accessories
There are a couple of optional Oppo accessories that are sold separately, with the headline accessory undoubtedly being the Hasselblad teleconverter which changes the default zoom of the telephoto lens up to 10x. The teleconverter also enables lossless cropping up to 40x zoom too.

Alongside the teleconverter is the Oppo Bubble, which is a mirror for the back of the phone for taking better selfies with the rear camera.
Oppo AI vs Galaxy AI
Unsurprisingly as they are 2026 flagship smartphones, both the Find X10 Pro Max and Galaxy S26 Ultra are fitted with plenty of AI tools. Whether or not you should buy a smartphone purely for its AI prowess is debatable. While both have genuinely useful tools like translation, we question how often you’ll actually reach for the AI-powered features.
However, both do benefit from Google’s Gemini voice assistant, which is definitely one of the most reliable AI assistants we’ve tried.
In addition, the Galaxy S26 Ultra also includes a handful of photo editing tools which do come in handy too. For example, you can remove unwanted objects and Photo Assist which lets you add photorealistic elements to images.
Both the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra have a lot going for them. While the Find X10 Pro Max benefits from a newer processor, larger battery and plenty of camera accessories, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is a solid all-rounder that most users will struggle to fault. Sure, its battery isn’t quite as mighty, but it can still see you through a full day of work.
