Oracle announced Media Fabric at AI World, a platform that combines its own AI video and image models, an AI production suite and a live-streaming network. It lets brands make many versions of one ad. Oracle says it will be available within 12 months.
Oracle has announced Media Fabric, a platform that uses AI to help media firms, streaming services and brands make video and stream it. The company unveiled it on Tuesday at its AI World event in Las Vegas. Oracle plans to release it within 12 months.
“Creating content and delivering it to viewers were separate processes,” said Oracle chief executive Clay Magouyrk. “With Oracle Media Fabric, we’re bringing content creation and streaming together, using AI across the entire production and distribution workflow.”
The platform includes Oracle’s own AI models for making and editing video and images. They sit inside a tool called Creative Studio. It can also pick models from other firms for each task, based on cost, security and copyright risk.
A third part, Oracle Video Edge, streams big live events. It uses live data to send each viewer to the best server, so streams start fast and stay smooth when crowds peak.
Brands can turn one advert into many versions that follow their own rules, and broadcasters can tailor shows to different viewers. Oracle says it has safeguards to protect customers’ work and to cut the risk that AI output copies someone else’s. Such worries pushed ByteDance into a pact with Hollywood over its AI video tool in August.
Oracle says Media Fabric gives creators of all sizes tools once used only by the biggest streaming platforms. Netflix, for one, already uses generative AI to help viewers find shows.
The launch is one of several at AI World this week, including a deal to offer Cerebras AI computers and a $1B fund for partners.
