Panasonic has launched two new micro-systems, with the SC-PMX112 adding Spotify Connect and internet radio, while the cheaper SC-PM302 covers Bluetooth, CD and radio.
Wi-Fi marks the clearest difference between the pair, as the more expensive model features a dual-band Wi-Fi connection that enables Spotify Connect, internet radio stations and podcasts, while both systems handle Bluetooth streaming from a mobile device.
Beyond streaming, both systems keep physical and broadcast sources in the mix, with CD and USB playback alongside DAB+ digital radio and FM radio for listeners who still rely on disc collections or traditional stations.
Disc and radio support separates both systems from the smart speakers common in compact home audio, which typically rely on Wi-Fi streaming and offer no CD drive or DAB+ tuner.
Panasonic’s SC-PMX112 pairs 13cm full-range drivers with dedicated tweeters and bass reflex ports in a two-way speaker setup, and the system lists 180W of output through wooden cabinets with detachable grilles and cables.
Wired connections include an optical input for a television, a 3.5mm line input, a USB-A port for playback and charging, and headphone and subwoofer outputs.
An integrated clock, alarm and sleep functions round out the larger system’s feature list, so it can wake listeners to a favourite radio station or switch itself off automatically at night.

Panasonic’s SC-PM302 trades that feature set for a smaller footprint, with 60W RMS stereo output through a pair of 10cm full-range speakers in wooden enclosures, and its space-saving format suits bedrooms, kitchens and home offices.
Despite the size gap, both models share five preset EQ modes, colour TFT display, with the larger unit carrying a 2.8-inch screen compared against the PM302’s 2.4-inch panel.
The SC-PMX112 carries a recommended retail price of £269.99 while the SC-PM302 sits at £119.99. Both systems go on sale in October directly from Panasonic and through major electrical retailers, and each comes with a remote control.
