Samsung is expanding its Android 17 rollout, bringing the latest One UI 9 update to more Galaxy smartphones, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5 and several of its popular Galaxy A-series devices.

The update has already reached dozens of Samsung phones, but the latest expansion brings Android 17 to more older flagships and affordable models. Among the biggest additions is the Galaxy S23 series, which received the stable One UI 9 update in South Korea last week and is now getting it across Europe.

A rollout in the US and other markets is expected to follow soon, although Samsung hasn’t confirmed an exact date.

Samsung’s older foldables are also getting some attention. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 have started receiving the stable Android 17 update in South Korea and Europe, with availability expected to expand to additional regions.

It’s another step in Samsung’s efforts to bring its latest software to devices beyond its newest flagship lineup.

Meanwhile, the rollout is picking up pace across Samsung’s more affordable Galaxy A series. According to SamMobile, the Galaxy A57, Galaxy A37, Galaxy A27, Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 are now receiving stable One UI 9 updates.

That’s a sizeable expansion for Samsung’s mid-range lineup, particularly for users who don’t own one of the company’s more expensive Galaxy S or Z devices.

Not every eligible Galaxy phone has received the stable update just yet, though. Samsung is continuing its One UI 9 beta programme for other models, including the Galaxy A16 5G, which has recently received its third beta release. That suggests a stable Android 17 update could be approaching, although there’s no confirmed release date.

As with previous Samsung software releases, availability depends on the device and region, so some users may have to wait a little longer before the update appears.

With more Galaxy models now joining the rollout, however, Android 17 is gradually making its way across Samsung’s wider smartphone lineup.
