We were expecting the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+ to show up in September and they did; they just waited until the very last day.
At least now we know everything about the Galaxy Tab 12 series.
An ultrathin design with impressive battery life
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is Samsung’s thinnest Galaxy Tab, at 5.1mm and the Galaxy Tab S12+ is a hair more, at 5.3 mm.
They both offer plenty of screen space with a 2X Dynamic AMOLED display and brightness up to 1,600 nits. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has a 14.6-inch display with 2960 x 1848 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, and the Galaxy Tab S12+ makes the most of its 12.6-inch display with a slim bezel and has 2800 x 1752 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Both tablets have the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor.
The battery life goes to nearly a full day, with the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra getting 23 hours on a single charge and the Galaxy Tab S12+ getting 21 hours. Both support 45W charging and can go from 0% to 100% in 95 minutes.
While a charger is not included with either tablet, both of them do come with an S Pen. There are four additional accessories made for, but not included with the tablets: a pro keyboard, book cover keyboard slim, book cover, and anti-reflecting screen protector.
A 3D Vapor Chamber handles heat dissipation for the tasks the tablets take on, like making the most of AI or editing videos.
As for cameras, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has a 12MP ultrawide front camera and rear 13MP and 8MP ultrawide cameras. The Galaxy Tab S12 has a front 12MP ultrawide front camera and 13MP rear camera.

They come pre-loaded with Adobe Photoshop (and four months of free access to the Photoshop mobile plan), Notability (including a six-month subscription), and Goodnotes (one year of full access). There’s also a 66% discount on LumaFusion with one month of Creator Pass and a six-month trial of Google AI Pro.
Samsung has promised up to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+.
