Refurbished phones are a great way to go if you're looking to save yourself a little money. However, we've seen the market flooded with refurbished devices from third-party vendors, and you really don't know what they do to get the device ready for sale.
If you can, we always recommend purchasing refurbished phones from trusted retailers, and it's even better if you can grab one from the manufacturer directly. Samsung has offered Certified Re-Newed phones on its own website for some time, but it's now expanding its offerings to Amazon.
Another way to buy
The brand has announced it will offer 14 configurations of seven models from the online retailer. This includes the Galaxy S24 FE, S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, Galaxy S25, S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. While Samsung does sell its Galaxy S26 series Certified Re-Newed phones on its own website, it is not yet available on Amazon.
We think these phones will be available there as well after some time. But for now, Amazon shoppers will need to be content with the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S25 series phones. We've tested each of these phones, and they're great options if you're looking for an Android phone.
While they were pretty easy to recommend at their MSRP, these discounted prices for Certified Re-Newed models make them a no-brainer.
What is Certified Re-Newed?
Samsung explains its process for getting Certified Re-Newed phones on store shelves. The devices undergo a thorough inspection, and if there's anything wrong, they are repaired using genuine parts. Once all repairs are complete, the devices go through a 147-point quality inspection.
If everything passes, Samsung packages it with a new box, pamphlets, and accessories. This is the best option if you want quality assurance. You're getting impressive value as-is, but each model also comes with a one-year warranty. That means you get the same type of coverage as if you're buying brand new. You won't get that with a third-party refurbished unit.
If all of the above wasn't enough, the Certified Re-Newed devices are eligible for Samsung Care+. This added layer of protection is available for an additional cost. However, it does cover accidental damage, which is a huge plus if you're prone to dropping your phone.
Each model has two storage sizes to choose from, with prices starting at $489. You can check out the Amazon storefront to see all the Samsung Certified Re-Newed phones that are available.
A great way to buy a new phone and save big. Samsung Certified Re-Newed devices are now available on Amazon.
