Social media company Snap said it would work with companies including Salesforce, Nvidia and Amazon Web Services to bring workplace tools to its Specs augmented-reality glasses, as it prepares to ship the $2,195 (£1,640) devices later this autumn.
The company also said it would offer an AI service called Specs Intelligence AI to help users carry out tasks via the device.
Specs Intelligence can pull data from apps such as Gmail and Slack, according to Snap.

The firm also said it would sell a charging case for the Specs that would act as a Wi-Fi hotspot with cellular connectivity.
The case, to be sold with the Specs as part of a $2,395 bundle, effectively pricing it at $200, is to offer connectivity through operators including Verizon in the US, Orange in France and EE in the UK.
Snap said Specs can be used as a workplace device in environments such as shop floors, retail outlets and field service operations where desktop computers might be less accessible.
To that end, it said Salesforce’s AI agent platform Agentforce would work with Specs, allowing workers to access company data and automate tasks.
AWS will also offer its AI assistant through Specs, allowing staff to carry out actions such as checking product availability. Nvidia will power the AI involved, Snap said.
Snap’s Specs enter a crowded market dominated by Meta’s Ray-Ban-branded smart glasses.
But Snap’s device is bulkier than Meta’s glasses, and can display user interface graphics on the wearer’s field of view.
