Verizon has debuted a bunch of new subscriber perks, including one which will excite anyone looking to test out Google's newest Gemini model. Selected Verizon subscribers will get access to six months of for free.

Verizon's subscriber perks have long been a good reason to stick with Big Red over its competition, and it obviously behooves the company to keep those perks fresh and useful.
Which is why Verizon has introduced a number of strong new perks in a recent blog post (via Phone Arena). These new perks for subscribers on the Simplicity, myPlan, and Verizon Home Internet plans center around digital security and family safety, but there's also the AI plan that's caught our eye.
Google AI Pro is Google's most prominent AI plan. While there are cheaper and more expensive plans, AI Pro is the one it's been pushing, with free trials included in a number of phone purchases. It offers a large boost in use over free and cheaper plans, as well as , and other solid perks.
Subscribing to it costs a hefty $20 a month, but Verizon subscribers can now get access to a six-month free trial, as long as they're new subscribers to Google's AI plans.
That last bit is important, as if you've bought a phone in the last few years, you may have already used a free trial and be ineligible for this deal. But if you haven't, then this is a good time to try it out.
After the free trial is over, you'll be charged a discounted rate of $10 a month for the plan, which is probably worth it for the expanded Google Drive storage alone.
In addition to the headline Google AI Pro trial, subscribers also get access to some new tools. Verizon Digital Secure Premium will be included in the deal, giving subscribers access to a wide number of potent security tools to keep them safe while browsing online.
Also included is Verizon Family, which offers location tracking and the Safe Walk feature to keep all members of the family safe. Call Filters are bundled in too, keeping everyone safe from scammers and fraud.
Finally, there are Verizon's usual perks. Subscribers can opt in to Verizon's Loyalty scheme to get rid of fees on activation and upgrades, and earn 3% back in Verizon Dollars. Plus, Verizon Shine offers the chance to win tickets to a number of experiences.
While all of these perks are solid, it's definitely the AI Pro plan that will stand out for most. While we've had to our , it's definitely worth trying it out to see if it holds value for you, and this new deal from Verizon offers people the chance to do just that.
